Composting project
When: March 22nd to April April 15th.
The Sac and Fox Nation Environmental Department will be providing assistance with constructing wire compost holding units. You will need a 10 x 3 foot length of chicken wire (or similar) and 4 4-foot âTâ posts. We will construct your composting bin and till your garden for you. We will contact you to set up a time for building the compost bin and to till your garden if you would like. If you are interested please sign up at the tribal office on the main bulletin board or at the community building in the environmental office and take a free informational brochure. Sac & Fox Nation Community Action and Recycling Day
When: April 8th, 2010
Time: 9am to 2pm
A Roll away dumpster will be located at the Sac and Fox Nation Community Building for all tribal members, tribal housing residents and community members to use. Tribal members and community residents should feel free to use these to get rid of unwanted materials to help us make the environment a little cleaner, but there are a few exceptions.
We cannot accept the following:
Tires
Car Batteries
Appliances that use Freon

Earth Day 2010
When: April 22nd, 2010 10:30am to 1:00pm
The Sac & Fox Nation invites you to attend the 2010 Earth Day to be held at the Sac & Fox Nation Community Building. People of all ages are invited. We will have lunch at noon.
The Sac & Fox Nation Community Building is located at 402 Arch street, in Reserve Kansas.
Electronics Recycling Event
When: May 13th, 2010 8:00am to 4:45pm
Help us keep recyclable materials out of our landfills by bringing your old computers, laptops, phones, cell phones, two way radios, gaming systems, printers, power supplies, video equipment, cameras and other electronic equipment. We will also be accepting metals such as steel, copper and aluminum.
PLEASE, NO televisions or computer monitors.
